For Daptabul, it all began in 2025 when our founder welcomed a brown Cocker Spaniel into the family. It didn't take long before he became much more than a pet—he became a constant companion, a walking partner and a loyal shadow who was rarely more than a few steps away.
Daily walks quickly turned into adventures through woodland trails, beaches, fields and the Yorkshire countryside. Like many active dog owners, it soon became clear that the leads and collars available simply weren't designed for the way they wanted to explore together. They weren't adaptable enough, they weren't always easy to clean after muddy walks, and they often lacked the quality and durability needed for everyday life.
With a background in design engineering and a passion for creating products that genuinely solve problems, the idea behind Daptabul was born.
Rather than settling for "good enough", we set out to design a range of premium waterproof dog products that were practical, versatile and built to last. Every detail was considered—from the length and functionality of each lead to the comfort of every collar and the quality of every fitting—creating products that make walks easier, more enjoyable and better suited to both dog and owner.
What started with one innovative lead design has naturally grown into a complete range of waterproof dog collars, multi-dog walking systems and grooming restraints, all sharing the same philosophy of thoughtful design, exceptional quality and everyday practicality.
Today, every Daptabul product is still handcrafted in our Yorkshire workshop using premium BioThane®, solid corrosion-resistant brass hardware and carefully selected components. Every lead, collar and restraint is individually made with the same care and attention to detail that inspired the very first prototype.
